Pastor Ernest Jeong was born and raised in Southern California. After graduating from UC Irvine in 2002, He pursued his passion for music. After touring several years, He prayerfully decided to change course as his interest in theology and ministry began to bloom. Soon he enrolled at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne Indiana and would graduate in 2012.
Pastor Jeong was installed at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Huntington Beach on March 9th, 2025. He previously served as Pastor at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Milton, WA [2012-2017], and Faith Lutheran Church in Moorpark CA [2017-2025].
Pastor Jeong and His wife Lois have three children, Abe, Zoey and Eliott.
SPECIFIC MINISTRY PASTOR
Tom Miller

Tom and his wife Karen have been members at Redeemer since 2015. Before entering the Specific Ministry Pastor (SMP) Colloquy Program (CMC), Tom served since 2003 as a licensed Deacon at St. Paul’s, Garden Grove, CA and had many other roles as well, including President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Elder. Since college, he has had friends in a variety of Christian denominations and seeks to use best practices in ministry from both Lutheran and non-Lutheran sources. Pastor Tom was ordained and installed as Redeemer’s Specific Ministry Pastor in December 2021.
Tom has a background in finance and computer science and has been consulting and teaching in the field of entrepreneurship for the past 20 years. His wife Karen is a rostered teacher and currently teaches math and science at a charter high school in Long Beach. Both Tom and Karen have been active members and leaders in their Lutheran churches for the past 40 years. They have three children, David, Jon and Sam.
