Bethlehem Handcrafts – Mar. 15

You are here: Home / Uncategorized / Bethlehem Handcrafts – Mar. 15

February 18, 2020 By Wayne Anderson

On Sunday, March 15 olive wood hand carvings from Bethlehem Handcrafts will be available for purchase on the Church patio.  From the city of Bethlehem, where Jesus was born, we bring you works of art which contain religious figurines in artistic form.  Olive wood carving is a tradition that was introduced by monks and priests, and later perfected by local carvers, and has been handed down from father to son for the last 700 years.  Today there are over 600 families in the city of Bethlehem who still perfect this art and depend on it as their main living income.  Visit www.Bethlehemhandcrafts.org for more information.
