Children learn basic musicianship as they prepare hymns and anthems in the service of our Lord. Music is taught by rote to beginning students so no prior musical training is required. However, music reading is introduced throughout the program.
The Praise Ringers children’s handbell choir is open to children from age 6 through 13. Rehearsals are held on Tuesdays September through May beginning at 5:15 PM and ending at 6:00 PM. Generally the choir participates in worship every other month allowing plenty of time for members to learn the music and to feel comfortable and confident as they serve.
The Praise Ringers children’s handbell choir is an excellent opportunity for older children to be involved in worship and to experience the joy of functioning together as a team in the service of our Lord and the Body of Christ.
