We're a Family-Friendly Church

Welcome to Redeemer Lutheran Church where families are encouraged to worship together.  Join us for church services!

CLICK HERE to read "The Child in the Pew" and understand how we welcome children in Sunday services.

We also offer a number of resources to help families grow in Christ.

Baptism

Romans 3:23 teaches us that all people have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.  It is our sin and the sin of the whole world that separated us from God our Father.   Thankfully, Jesus came to die on the cross for us and rose again from the dead to save us from our sins.  Baptism is one of the ways that God brings that forgiveness, won for us on the cross 2000 years ago, to us here today through His Word.  Through Baptism God gives us forgiveness of all our sins, rescues us from death and the devil, and gives us eternal salvation.

Since Baptism is God’s gift to all people and is done according to Jesus’ command and promise, it is typically done in the context of the Christian Church during the Divine Service on Sunday mornings.  This Christian community is also a place where God encourages you in the Christian faith as you have been made a member of His Church through Baptism.  For infants and children,  Christian instruction follows Baptism including Sunday School and Confirmation class.

Sunday School

Redeemer's Sunday School is a place for kids to come, learn, and grow in a Christian environment that is loving, nurturing, and fun!   Rooted in the Gospel of God's grace, our Sunday School is dedicated to teaching the Word of God and assisting children in their spiritual growth.

Confirmation

Confirmation at Redeemer Lutheran Church offers children instruction in the basic teachings of the Bible as drawn from Luther’s Small Catechism to prepare them for a public confession of the faith that was given to them in Baptism.  Following Confirmation they are invited to participate in the Lord’s Supper and encouraged to continue in their regular attendance of the Divine Service where God serves His people in Word and Sacrament.

VBS (Vacation Bible School)

At Redeemer Lutheran Church the VBS program is usually held in June or July from 9:00am – 12:00 noon, with a closing program on Friday evening. The daily program includes a bible study, craft, games, snack craft as well as time to sing praises to Jesus. The VBS program is for children ages 4 to children graduating from fifth grade.

Youth / BFL (Believers for Life)

Redeemer Lutheran offers a youth group for children that are in the sixth grade up until their Senior year of High School. The youth group's goal is to promote worship among young people and encourage Christian fellowship. In a world that is not so accepting, BFL is a place for young Christians to have fun while being a part of a group that shares their same beliefs.
